| Bras at the ready? Then let's do the Moon Walk again! 20th April 2009  13 years ago, a brave band of 13 women power walked the New York marathon in their bras to raise money for breast cancer. Two years later, Walk The Walk entered 25 women into the London Marathon to do the same, but with another 25 women missing out, the Moon Walk was born - with those 25 starting their "marathon" at midnight with the intention of completing it by 7.00am and passing on the ‘baton’ in Trafalgar Square to the girls that would be walking the official event. Fast forward to 2009 and thousands of women and men will be doing the Moon Walk in London on the 16th of May and in Edinburgh on the 22nd of June. And in July, there will be two Sun Walks, one in Bristol on the 5th and one in Newcastle on the 19th which will see thousands more take to the streets in their bras to raise money for cancer research. An incredible nine and a half million pounds was raised by Walk The Walk last year and this year they are looking to top the ten million pounds mark. You can help by walking yourself or by volunteering to help out at one of the events.
