Believe it or not, the Wonderbra is 70 years old this year!

In fact the original design and the name Wonderbra was first used in 1935 by its designer Israel Pilot, but the first Wonderbras were first licensed and manufactured by the Canadian Lady Corset Company in 1939.

The deeply plunged, laced push-up design that has given the Wonderbra name near legendary status has been on sale in the UK since 1964, but sales exploded during the 1990s when push up bras gained in popularity and Eva Herzigová in a Wonderbra was plastered all over billboards, gazing down at her breasts with the caption "Hello Boys".

In 2008, Debenhams customers voted the Wonderbra the greatest fashion invention ever beating both the mini dress and little black dress to the number one spot.
